A prisoner in Pine Grove was found unanswered in her cell on Friday morning and pronounced dead.
The woman was pronounced dead around 8:45 a.m. this morning and was treated by ambulance staff called by the correctional staff.
Prince Albert’s police and Saskatchewan’s coroner’s office have been notified and are investigating.
In addition, the Ministry of Punishment, Police and Public Safety will conduct an internal inspection.
