Phoebe Bridgers fucking says Supreme Court in Glastonbury 2022
The Glastonbury 2022 Festival is underway, with music fans from around the world flocking to Worthy Farm in Somerset, England.
This year’s festival is led by Gen-Z pop star Billy Isle, Beatles legend Sir Paul McCartney and American rapper Kendrick Lamar, and Diana Ross takes over the traditional Legends slot.
On Friday, June 24, McCartney played a pre-festival concert in Somerset tonight, with tickets for the show with a capacity of 800 people sold out in less than an hour.
Over on The Other Stage, the rock band Libertines started a lawsuit after a powerful speech on the screen of Ukrainian President Zelensky.
Wolf Alice, after harassing fans by announcing that their flight from LA had been canceled, was able to reach the UK to complete his Pyramid Stage set this afternoon.
There is a sense of gloom among the American contingent due to the devastating decision of the Supreme Court Rowe against Wade. Artists, including Phoebe Bridgers and British rock band IDLES, are among the acts condemning the decision so far.
Then came the moment we had been waiting for, Billy Isle’s historic set as the youngest artist to lead the Pyramid Stage solo.

Olivia Rodrigo brings Lily Allen to sing “F *** You” in response to the Supreme Court for Rowe v. Wade
At a phenomenal moment in Glastonbury, such as history textbooks, Olivia Rodrigo pulled out THE Lily Allen (fan joke that this is Billy Isle) to sing Alan’s hit “F *** You” in response to the rollover of Roe vs Wade and the STORM descends.

A royal visit to Glastonbury ?!
One man – no, not Paul McCartney – caused a stir among Glasto viewers at home after BBC footage showed a woman in the crowd who looked strikingly like the queen.
During the coverage of the Robert Plant and Alison Kraus show on Friday night (June 24th), the camera targeted people in the audience, including a woman in a blue raincoat and sunglasses.
Not long after, the spectators at home commented on the appearance of the festival:

Olivia Rodrigo smashes him on the Other Stage
First, I’m not sure when was the last time we saw such a huge crowd at the Second Stage …
Second, what set? !! I’m not going to pretend I had no doubts about Rodrigo’s live show. I think she was at the MTV Awards, where she just sounded incredibly weak endurance and that was in her voice. But look at her now! Distribute it like no other, including a noisy cover of Avril Lavigne’s “Complicated” Noughties classic.

Review of Haim – Pyramid Stage
“We’ll only play a few songs for you, okay?” Alana Haim asks the Pyramid Stage audience.
It’s very good. Apparently everything good comes in threes: Haim have done Glasto three times before – they know the deal – and are now on the Pyramid stage with three Brits, three Grammys and three albums under their belts.
Known for sunny singles such as last year’s Summer Girl, its nudist saxophone and the 3am call theme, the California sisters gradually experienced a boom that culminated in their best career, Women in Music for 2021. Pt III.
Much of the appeal of this early evening set comes from their confidence and chemistry on stage. Remembering how she once fainted in the middle of a Glastonbury set, Este was interrupted by a phone call that suggested a “should I call him back?” Sketch between the band and their audience. They are completely at home in the heart of Worthy Farm and are also very welcome. ★★★★★

Review of Celeste – West Holts
After a hard night watching the sun rise in Block9, listening to Celeste’s silky tones on Saturday afternoon feels like the best hangover cure. When the 28-year-old arrives on the West Holts stage, her hair is cut into sharp ends like the high-fashion Dennis Threat, she radiates warmth that radiates into the crowd.
It is difficult to say whether this is the sudden outburst of the sun or her voice. She started with “Ideal Woman,” the opening track on her Mercury Prize-nominated album Not Your Muse. Only with a cello accompanying her, this is a muted start on the set, but she quickly shows the real star of the show: her voice.
There is a wealth of voices in Celeste, which contradicts her youth. Each song brings the precision of an album recording, but the live band adds new depth to songs such as her drum-inspired and bass-hit “Stop This Flame.”
There is minimal interaction with the audience (which can be nerve-wracking) and sometimes the set feels a little relaxed. Still, it’s a tonic that the crowd goes around, and “Strange” is suitably intimately closer. IL ★★★★ ☆

Review of Glass Animals – Another Stage
Glass animals – Another stage
“I’m so sorry, guys,” says Glass Animals frontman Dave Bailey. “So anticlimactic.” The Oxford quartets have just taken the stage, only due to technical problems, to stop them from invading the intoxicating “Life Itself”.
They leave the stage. Try again. Good luck. This is a brilliant start. Jumping, spinning, and spinning, Bailey is a tireless frontman, with a tendency to stick out his tongue lustfully, as if channeling Gene Simmons. Mixing oil R’n’B grooves with indie pop, the band has always been extremely confident live. But this year they have even more reason to be full of audacity after conquering the United States with their 1.7 billion streaming song “Heat Waves”. Before giving up, however, we made Bailey stand on the barrier, providing a particularly sad performance of the stunning 2014 hit “Gooey.”
When “Heat Waves” completes the set, causing mass singing, the sun rises. How appropriate. ★★★★ ☆

Haim for a secret kit?
Many mentions of the Rabbit Hole and Avalon … Does Chaim hint at a secret set?

Haim take the Pyramid stage
Confession … I’ve never been a big fan of Haim and I was trying to see what the noise was about, then they made a complete turnaround when they released their third album Women in Music Pt III. I loved Lou Reed’s nod in “Summer Girl,” the boring saxophones, the harmony, the lyrical candor … all of that! Also, Alana Haim in Licorice Pizza (with her sisters and their parents appearing) was excellent, even if the movie itself wasn’t my cup of tea.
Some absolutely powerful reefs carved by Este right now.
