The meeting with Telman Ismailov took place on February 17, 2012 at the Moscow headquarters of AST Group, his huge holding company, which once owned a publishing house, a travel company and had a telecommunications division, according to the Moscow Times.
Ismailov was accused in 2017 by Russian authorities of paying $ 2 million for the murder of two entrepreneurs a year earlier, AFP reported. Vladimir Savkin, a shopping mall tycoon, and Yuri Brilev, founder of Lublino Motors, were hit on the Novorizhskoye highway in Moscow over a business dispute with Ismailov, according to Russia’s Investigative Committee, the country’s main federal investigation agency.

Ismailov’s lawyer did not respond to The Post’s request for comment on the alleged killings or the Hunter Biden meeting, but told Radio Free Europe that the allegations were false and “the result of political and economic persecution by the Russian Federation.” In February, he was granted asylum in Montenegro.
It is unclear what Hunter Biden wanted with Ismailov, but the trip was part of a two-day meeting and greeting between Hunter and the country’s wealthy oligarchs – which was at least partly focused on seeking foreign money for Rosemont Realty, a descendant of Hunter Biden’s Rosemont Seneca Partners. . The investment company is a co-founder of Hunter Biden, Devon Archer and Chris Heinz.
The rush of meetings raises questions about what issues have been discussed and whether the oligarchs have sought any unwanted access to Hunter Biden’s father. Hunter’s travels to Russia were before their aggression in Ukraine and at a time when the Obama administration was trying to “restart” relations between the two countries.
“When Republicans regain the House in January, the Biden family’s shady relationship with Russia and China must be investigated. Chemezov has been close friends with Russian President Vladimir Putin since the 1980s, when they were both young KGB agents working in East Germany. Yevtushenkov has been sanctioned by both Britain and Australia for the current war in Ukraine, but is also not facing punishment from the United States. He is married to the sister of Russian billionaire Elena Baturina, the widow of ousted Moscow Mayor Yuri Luzhkov.
