Tampa Bay Lightning survived to play another day with a 5-2 win over Game 5 against Colorado Avelanche.

Ondrej Palat scored a goal for the future with 6:22 until the end. Palat’s shot just went past Avalanche goalkeeper Darcy Kumper and into the back of the net. That’s exactly what Lightning needed to cross Colorado. Tampa Bay did not overtake the whole game and now sends the series back to the East Coast.

This was the 11th goal for Palat in the series.

Tampa Bay received a big match from goalkeeper Vasilevski. He stopped 36 shots and somehow managed to keep Colorado’s powerful attack at bay for most of the game. The only two goals he conceded were against Valery Nichushkin in the second period and Kale Makar in the third period.
