A camper who went missing on Friday morning after taking his dog for a walk in Tiny Township’s Awenda Provincial Park has been found safe.
Provincial police say the OPP aviation unit found the 66-year-old man from British Columbia in a property near the park nearly eight hours after he was last seen.
Police have launched an in-depth search of land, air and water with the help of the Coast Guard and the K9 unit after the man was reported missing.
Police say he and his family are camping in the park.
Paramedics from Simko County took him to a local hospital for examination and treatment for possible injuries due to the weather.
