Part of the A11 in Norfolk remained closed after the air ambulance was called in a serious crash.
Emergency services were called in the crash in the southern lane this morning (June 26th).
In a tweet, National Highways East initially said: “The A11 south is closed between B1111 near Sneterton and A1087 near Thetford due to a collision.
“The road facing north has been detained to allow an air ambulance to be present.
“Norfolk police are investigating accidents.”
In a recent statement, National Highways confirmed that the road to the north has reopened.
The tweet said: “A11 south remains closed between B1111 near Sneterton and A1087 near Thetford due to a collision.
“The road to the north is already open.”
The extent of the injuries is not yet known, but Norfolk police have been contacted for more information.
A diversion route has been set up by the police.
