Jody Sweetin, known for playing Stephanie Tanner in The Full House, was knocked down by police during an abortion rights protest by hitting her on the concrete.

Jody was with other protesters on a highway in Los Angeles when the Los Angeles police started blocking their way … Jody was close to the police when she was pushed back into the crowd – she tripped on the curb and knocked her to the floor.

The original boarder claimed to have tried to take the group away from the highway, which was when it was pushed back … the crowd began chanting “No justice, no peace,” and Jody joined soon after.

Jody told TMZ … “I am extremely proud of the hundreds of people who showed up yesterday to exercise their rights under the First Amendment and take immediate action to peacefully protest the gigantic injustices brought about by our Supreme Court. Our activity will continue until our voices are heard and action is taken. This will not stop us, we will continue to fight for our rights. We are not free until we are ALL free. “

And she’s doing well after the incident – the whole event was supposed to be a peaceful protest against abortion rights.

We contacted the Los Angeles police for comment … we have no news yet.

As you know, protests have been taking place across the country and beyond since Rowe W. Wade was abolished on Friday … some formed outside the Capitol, including both supporters of life and defenders of choice.
