Alec Baldwin will interview Woody Allen on Tuesday

Alec Baldwin announced an interview with director Woody Allen, who faced a negative reaction after his adopted daughter Dylan Farrow claimed that he had sexually abused her as a child.

This reaction was recently renewed with the release in 2021 of the HBO documentary series “Allen v. Farrow”, in which she and her mother Mia Farrow further described the allegations that first came out in 1992.

Baldwin made the announcement on his Instagram account on Sunday night, writing: “Let me anticipate this by stating that I have NO INTEREST in anyone’s judgments and opinions here. OBVIOUSLY I am someone who has his own set of beliefs and CANNOT WARM UP LESS than other people’s speculations. If you think a process should be done through an HBO documentary, that’s your problem.

The interview will take place on Tuesday live on Instagram at 10:30 a.m. ET. “I love you, Woody,” Baldwin said in a video post. “Instagram, I’m with Woody, Tuesday, 10:30. Be there. “

“Allen v. Farrow” included an unprecedented home video of 7-year-old Farrow talking about the alleged attack shortly after claiming it happened. During the #MeToo movement, his 2019 film “A Rainy Day in New York” was rejected by Amazon Studios and Hachette Book Group refused to publish his memoirs. Alan denied the allegations, calling them “false and disgraceful” in a statement after the documents were released.

Baldwin has also been the subject of recent controversy. In October, he was holding a support firearm that fired and killed cameraman Halina Hutchins and wounded director Joel Souza on the set of Rust. The investigation into the incident by the Santa Fe County Sheriff’s Office continues, as does the wrongful death case filed by the Hutchins family against Baldwin, seven producers and other members of the Rye team.
