Apple is preparing to release nearly two dozen new products this fall

If you thought WWDC was full of new products, you still haven’t seen anything. While Apple typically fills the fall and winter months with new products, this year it could bring up to 20 new devices, from four new iPhone 14 models to new Macs, iPads and possibly even a new HomePod.

According to Mark German of Bloomberg, Apple “is about to begin one of the most ambitious periods of new products in its history”, with almost every product in Apple’s range to be updated. Here’s everything Gurman expects Apple to release in the next few months:

iPhone 14

As usual, the new iPhone will begin its fall message list. Apple is again planning four new models this year with one big change: the mini has gone in favor of a new non-professional Max model. While this is the biggest change for non-Pro models, the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max should get several new features: always on display, a new chip, better front and rear cameras and thinner bezels.

Apple Watch Series 8

The Apple Watch Series 8 is expected to have the same 41 mm and 44 mm dimensions as the Series 7 and may introduce a third “robust” or “extreme” model designed for users with more demanding needs. Gourmet says the S8 chip, which is expected to power the Apple Watch Series 8, will be largely the same as the S7 chip (which was essentially the same as the S6).

Apple Watch SE

It is reported that the second generation Apple Watch SE will have the same screen size as the current model, although it will probably always have a display, new sensors and a newer processor.

iPad from the 10th generation

It is reported that the latest update of Apple’s cheapest iPad will bring a larger screen (10.5 inches vs. 10.2 inches), USB-C and 5G. However, it is expected to retain the same retro design, including the start button.

iPad Pro

The 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pros should get an upgrade to the M2 processor and probably get wireless charging as well.

AirPods Pro

The long-awaited update of the first generation AirPods Pro will finally arrive this fall with a new design without a handle, lossless audio support and better battery life. The wireless charging case may also receive USB-C to replace Lightning.

HomePod

Apple also plans to release a new HomePod, although Gourmet warns it may not arrive until 2023. It is reported that it will be “closer to the original HomePod in terms of size and audio performance” with a new display at the top. which can bring a lot of sensory functionality.

Apple TV

Gourmet says Apple TV will get a small update, with a new chip and more RAM. However, there are rumors of a cheaper model.

Mixed reality headphones

It is reported that the first new product category of Apple in several years will appear: AR-VR headphones. Gurman says the device will have an M2 processor with 16 GB of RAM to go with its dual 8K displays.

New Mac

In addition, Apple has several Macs that need to be upgraded in the coming months, including the M2 and M2 Pro Mac mini, the 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro with M2 Pro and M2 Max processors, and the redesigned Mac Pro with M2 Ultra and new M2 Extreme chips. Gourmet says the M2 Mac is likely to arrive in a “much faster sequence” than the M1 Mac.

It is reported that Apple will begin the “flow” of messages with the iPhone 14 event in mid-September.
