Three “masked” men who broke into a pub with guns said they were “looking for someone.”
Merseyside police rushed to the Arrowe Park Hotel on Arrowe Park Road, Woodchurch, Wirral, around 5:50 p.m. on Monday, June 27, following reports of an incident inside. Police were once told at the scene that three men rushed into the pub armed with weapons.
The men said they were “looking” for someone before searching the building and then fleeing the pub. The three men then left the scene in a car, probably a BMW, according to police.

Detective Inspector Emma Kerrigan said: “We are at a very early stage of an investigation and an investigation is underway to find out what happened and why the offenders were in the pub and who they were looking for. We will not tolerate the use of violence or intimidation on the streets of Merseyside, and we are relentless in prosecuting those involved in violent crime.
“An in-depth investigation is underway and patrols have been stepped up in the area to reassure the local community. Arrowe Park Road would be very busy at this time of day and I would urge all drivers who may have taken footage from the dashboard or locals with CCTV to contact us as they may have footage that could be prove vital to our investigation. ”
An investigation is underway and officers are conducting house-to-house inspections. They also look at CCTV footage to identify those involved.
The first man was described as white, large / overweight. He was wearing an all-gray suit, with large black pockets, black sneakers, and a black balaclava with a black hood.
The second man is described as a white man with a medium physique. He was wearing a balaclava, a black padded coat with a brightly colored logo on the left, black tracksuit bottoms, and black sneakers.
The third man was dressed entirely in black and his face was completely covered. He was wearing a black coat, black jeans or tracksuit bottoms, and black sneakers.

Earlier, ECHO reported that the pub was cordoned off on June 8 after three men “ran inside to hide”. The men allegedly shouted that they had been shot at by a car.
Emergency services arrived on the scene and a large police cordon was seen while detectives were working. A separate cordon was also visible further down Church Lane.
