The couple addressed earlier a mistake about Will Byers’ birthday in the new season, admitting that they made a mistake and that they would reconsider or “George Lucas-ing” a past episode to correct their mistake.
However, the brothers revealed that this is not the first time they have watched an episode, admitting that they have already done so without the fans noticing.
“We also have George Lucas things that people don’t know about,” Matt Duffer said of previous changes.

If fans want to play a detective, they will only have to check the physical copies of the series, such as the DVDs, and compare them with their streaming counterpart, as they cannot be changed after their publication.
“However, you have physical copies, Blu-ray and other things – you’ll have to compare,” added Ross Duffer.
He also revealed that scenes from season 4, volume 1, have already been changed, but said that these are just “some of the visual effects” and are not key parts of the story.

Fans quickly noticed that a moment in the fourth episode of the new season showed that the camera was spinning with the date March 22, which was previously defined as Will’s birthday.
None of Will’s friends or family seemed to be celebrating, but the Duffer brothers revealed that it was a mistake, not a deliberate plot.
Ross Duffer joked that “What we’re going to do is go George Lucas, too,” citing the propensity of the creator of Star Wars to rework his saga.
