Rowe v. Wade and abortion news

Twenty-two attorneys general reaffirmed their commitment to expanding access to abortion care in their states in a joint statement issued Monday.

Coalition – composed of Attorneys General of New York, California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, DC, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nevada, New Jersey, New Mexico, North Mexico, North Mexico Rhode Island, Vermont and Washington said that “when it comes to abortion care, it’s your body and your choice.”

“No one else can make these decisions,” the statement added.

Officials said that “widespread access to abortion remains protected in countries that recognize reproductive freedom”, including in their countries.

“For those who are unable to travel, laws banning abortion in their home countries will lead to poorer health outcomes and reduced socio-economic opportunities,” they said.

“These damages will fall disproportionately on people of color and with fewer resources, further perpetuating the historical injustices of our nation,” they continued.
