For those of you who longingly (… or jealously) watch a few lucky people have fun with their fantasies, new Steam Decks, well, I have some good news. Valve has announced that it will start sending booking emails to Steam Deck for Q3 later this week. And also confirm that the delivery of devices is actually increasing, so if you ordered one, it may arrive earlier than originally expected.
Earlier today on Twitter, Valve confirmed that it had sent the latest booking emails to Steam Deck for the second quarter and revealed that the company plans to start sending emails for Q3 on June 30th. For potential Deck buyers who are patiently waiting, Valve explained that notebook production has increased, so it will be able to deliver twice as many Steam Decks per week to customers in Q3.
In short, a bunch of people are likely to receive Steam Deck in the mail in the next few weeks, although it probably won’t be delivered to them by Valve’s own Gabe Newell.
If you were wondering what all the excitement about emails was when Valve announced its Steam Deck last year, she knew that the demand for the portable computer gaming machine would far exceed its immediate capacity to produce them. So he created a reservation system in which people could pay Valve a registration fee of $ 5 to be added to the queue. Then, when Valve was making devices, he could send one of those wanted emails to the people in line to see if they wanted to complete a purchase.

With Alexa enabled, the Omni Series comes with 4K UHD picture quality and is equipped with the same interface you may be used to on a Fire TV Stick. This means that they also have Alexa enabled, so you don’t need to enter your favorite movies and shows. Just hold the button on the remote and ask Alexa.
Remember: Once you receive the email, you only have three days to request your booked Steam Deck. Well, about three days. Valve tweeted that people who missed the email could contact support for a possible extension, as there is a grace period of undisclosed duration. However, I would suggest you be careful not to ignore this email if you really want Steam Deck, as we don’t know how long the grace period is.
For people like me sitting in the After Q3 camp, this news is bitterly sweet. I am happy that Valve is increasing the production and delivery of the devices, plus I am happy that people are getting them. But in the meantime, my fiancée keeps asking me about Steam Deck, and I keep sharing some great news. At least today I can share a little better than bad news!
Oh, and if you get a Steam Deck soon, be sure to modify it. Valve warns that you can damage the device by doing things like sticking a larger SSD, which can shorten the overall life of the Deck.
