Two cyclists who were hit and killed on Walpole Island on Wednesday morning have been identified.
The Lambton OPP said Michelle White, 36, and Greta Williams, 50, both from the First Nation, were hit before 5 a.m. on River Road and pronounced dead at the scene.
Cst. Jamie Bidley said the driver of the vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The section of River Road between Firehall Road and Austin Road was closed for several hours while police investigated.
