However, the color in the video is much better, much less saturated and closer to natural. I wonder if Leica will make a big difference in color processing. Still within the 7-day return window, so consider changing the Xiaomi 12s instead of the imx707 sensor (although the 12s will probably be an extra $ 150 or more than what I paid for the Xiaomi 12). For example, let’s say that Xiaomi has released an update that adjusts the camera of the Mi 11 Ultra in the way it now takes night photos, as does the 12 Pro. 12 Pro tends to take darker photos in low light (in particular, midtones are noticeably darker), which makes photos less appealing to ordinary users, but perhaps more realistic. Suddenly, the owners of the Mi 11 Ultra feel that their photos are no longer properly exposed, therefore “worse”.
Not to mention that the internet acts like a giant echo camera when there are many people who feel the same way about a particular product at the same time and ultimately heightens people’s anxiety, even if the problem doesn’t really exist in the first place.

That’s why there are restrictions on what phones can fit inside. The whole camera takes up a lot of space. To accommodate all of this, xiaomi can probably sacrifice something like avoiding a larger battery or Qi charging coil.
However, rumors say that this device will not be manufactured outside China. It seems plausible, as the 12 Pro sells in Europe for € 1200-1300. And this one will never be there under € 1500. I doubt xiaomi would want to have anything at this price.

With this sensor and Leica lenses, I have high hopes for this phone in the camera department, let’s see if it can justify the noise.
