NEW YORK — The National Hockey League announced today the order of selection for the NHL 2022 Upper Deck Draft, July 7-8 at the Bell Center in Montreal.
Host Montreal Canadiens has the first overall selection and a total of 14 in the league; the most choices made by a club in the year since the introduction of the 7-round draft in 2005 was 13 (New York Islanders in 2006 and 2008, Florida in 2010 and Carolina in 2021).
The first round of the Upper Deck NHL Draft for 2022 will air on Thursday, July 7, at 7pm ET on ESPN, ESPN + in the US and Sportsnet, TVA Sports in Canada. Round 2-7 will be broadcast on NHL Network, ESPN + in the US and on Sportsnet, TVA Sports in Canada on Friday, July 8 at 11 a.m. ET.
