Cleveland Browns QB disciplinary hearing Deshon Watson to resume Thursday

The hearing of Deshon Watson before the jointly appointed disciplinary officer of the NFL and the NFL Players Association, Sue L. Robinson, ended for the day and will continue on Thursday, a source told Adam Shefter from ESPN on Wednesday.

Watson has been charged by 25 women with actions ranging from sexual violence to inappropriate behavior during massage sessions.

The NFL is expected to insist on a suspension for at least a year, according to Dan Graziano of ESPN.

There is no set schedule for Robinson’s decision after the hearing is over. If the union or league appeals the decision, NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell or his chosen one “will issue a written decision that will constitute a full, final and complete settlement of the dispute” under the terms of Article 46 of the collective agreement.

On Monday, one of the four active civil cases was amended to name the Houston Texans as a defendant. The other day, attorney Tony Busby, who once represented all 25 women, said in a statement that “the vast amount of evidence gathered showing that the Houston Texans allowed Watson’s behavior to be incredibly humiliating.”
