Eric Adams calls on the prosecutor to prosecute Rudy Giuliani

Mayor Eric Adams has called on Staten Island Attorney Mike McMahon to consider prosecuting former Mayor Rudy Giuliani for allegedly filing a fake police report, to which Giuliani responded by urging Adams to leave due to the city’s crime crisis.

“[Giuliani] he falsely reports a crime, and the prosecutor must take it seriously, “Hezonner said during an appearance on The Daily Show on Tuesday night, where he mocked and despised Giuliani in the ongoing quarrel between the two.

“You don’t realize it. He just attacked me, “Adams said grimly after host Trevor Noah hugged him as he entered, a clear attempt for the former mayor.

Giuliani was talking to locals after returning from the men’s restroom at Staten Island ShopRite on Sunday when store employee Daniel Gill came up behind him and punched him in the back, the video of the incident shows. The former two-term mayor and Donald Trump’s legal adviser was fighting for his son Andrew, who is running in the Republican primary for governor.

Gil, 39, was initially charged with second-degree assault in the incident, although charges were reduced to third-degree harassment and harassment. Giuliani said he felt like “someone shot me” when Gil punched him in the back while video surveillance showed a brief and nonviolent encounter.

Surveillance footage shows Shoprite employee Daniel Gill punching Rudy Giuliani in the back on Sunday.

“This man, whom he falsely reported, spent 24 hours in prison. That’s not acceptable, “Adams said, continuing criticism he first made earlier Tuesday of the man dubbed” mayor of America “after the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.

Adams then mentioned the case of Amy Cooper – Karen Central Park, which caused international outrage in 2020 when she called the cops of a black bird watcher who asked her to pick up her dog. She falsely claims on a second call to 911 that he tried to attack her.

“I will call the prosecutor. We must be consistent. If it weren’t for this tape, imagine what would have happened to this man, “the mayor said.

Daniel Gill was arrested and initially charged with second-degree assault, but those charges were later dropped.

Giuliani landed on Adams in response.

“I have never filed a police report, contrary to the lying mayor, who has more than crime [Bill] de Blasio. There were five witnesses, “Giuliani said.

“That’s why he behaves like an irritable child. “Instead of attacking an elderly citizen, he must prevent crimes against senior citizens,” the 78-year-old added.

Giuliani responded to Adams’ claims that the former governor should be tried. Facebook

“This man is a loser. When you have a crime rate higher than de Blasio’s, you have to resign.

Giuliani said he had four conversations with McMahon’s office, none about his investigation. He said prosecutors would have to prosecute police officers for any allegation of a false report – and that was not happening.

During the hit “The Daily Show”, Adams said that Giuliani had other problems regarding his role in advising Trump during the uprising on January 6, 2021 in the US Capitol building.

“Interestingly, when you saw this testimony in Washington, he also has some other things to deal with,” Adams said before continuing to hit Giuliani at an event Wednesday morning.

“Because of his signal to the police station, a person went to prison for 24 hours,” the mayor said. “This man’s life changed because – as we have all seen, patting on the back – was not a punch to the head, it was not knocking someone to the ground.

“I believe that the prosecutor should consider this and determine the end result.
