Chelsea Handler, who replaces Jimmy Kimmel this week, broke up with representative Lauren Bowbert (R-Colo.) Over her latest failure in civil discipline.
Bowbert said Sunday that she was “tired of this separation of church and state rubbish” and said “the church should run the government”.
Handler called Bowbert “one of the greatest MAGA idiots ever elected” because of such comments, and she released a video of Bowbert claiming that the founding fathers never intended to separate church and state.
“I tend to be skeptical about getting advice on constitutional law from the seal of a human tramp,” Handler said. “They often tend to skip right up to the second amendment. And if you’ve bothered to read the First Amendment, the first words are, “Congress will not pass a law that respects the establishment of religion.”
The comedian / actor didn’t stop there:
“Second, if you’re so interested in what the founding fathers thought, one thing they definitely think is that women should shut the hell up in public, not vote and not be elected to Congress. Your friend Thomas Jefferson wrote, “Governments are made among the people.” So unless you have bread, the founding fathers don’t care what you have to say. “
And it was not over yet.
