Another shake-up in college athletics could be seen UCLA and USC join the Big Ten as early as 2024, according to numerous reports.
Pac-12 teams are in talks to leave the conference in time for the 2024 season, with an official announcement expected in the next 24 hours, This was reported by ESPN, citing sources.

“USC and UCLA need to make decisions to best position them in the long run,” a source told the publication. “The future is so uncertain that we must act from a position of strength.”

“Everything is on the table” another source told CBS Sports.

Both schools will receive rights bound by the television contract at the conference after the 2023-2024 season, which will make the transition smooth.

The departure of USC and UCLA comes exactly year after the SEC granted membership at the University of Oklahoma and the University of Texas at Austin from June 1, 2025.

Longhorns and Sooners leave the Big 12 after a few decades. Both schools were part of the conference when it was formed by the merger of Big Eight and Southwest Conference.
