Kyrie Irving “fully supports” Kevin Durant’s decision to seek a trade from the Brooklyn Nets.
Irving decided to opt out of his $36.5 million contract with the Nets this week, but knew Durant wanted a trade was a possibility.
The Nets and Irving were close to a new contract that would also stabilize their relationship with Durant.
Irving and Durant chose to sign with the Nets as a tandem in 2019.
