Minecraft YouTuber Technoblade has died after a battle with stage four cancer. The 23-year-old, whose name is Alex, had more than 10.8 million followers on his channel.
A touching farewell video was uploaded in which Technoblade’s father read a farewell message from the YouTuber, thanking fans for their continued support over the nine years he’s been creating content.
“If I had a hundred more lives, I think I would choose to be a Technoblade again every time, as these were the happiest years of my life,” his message read. “I hope you guys enjoyed my content and that I made some of you laugh and I hope you all continue to live long, prosperous and happy lives because I love you. Technoblade out.”

Known for being quite private, Technoblade only revealed his real name in the farewell message, but shared last year that he had been diagnosed with cancer in his right arm. His father explained in the video that Technoblade died just hours after writing the message.
His mother also shared a written message at the end of the video. “[Technoblade] eschews personal fame and works hard to keep his true identity private, and we ask that you continue to respect his wishes to protect his privacy and the privacy of his family,” the statement said.
“My son’s bravery on this path was a shining lesson to all of us who were privileged to walk it with him. Thank you for sharing his journey through it all as he did the work he loved for his beloved fans.”
