This is the advanced algebra of optical illusions.
Thought it was impressive to be in the one percent of optical illusion enthusiasts? Puzzle lovers are trying to decipher this digital eye exam, which can reportedly only be solved by 0.1% of people. The unnerving visual mosaic was first shared on TikTok in April, but is currently growing as viewers strain their orbital muscles trying to crack it.
“Only 0.1% can see all 10 numbers,” reads the caption of the illusion, which was shared by user @purpzosaur. The difficulty of the puzzle is compounded by a GIF of the dancing monkey in the background seemingly trying to confuse the eyes like an eye hockey goalie.

On the face of it, the eye-popping illustration appears to show only four numbers: six, eight, four and one. Upon closer inspection, however, it becomes clear that there are many more numbers hidden in the “literal image,” which is defined as fusing together smaller images to create a larger one.
Unfortunately, even the most avid TikTok users struggled to find all 10 integers, with many coming up with very different answers from each other.
“I only see 12346789,” said one frustrated viewer, while another wrote: “I see 12346780 and 00 (infinity).”
“I see 64801,” said another puzzle lover.
However, other optical illusion gurus claim to have mastered this digital decathlon, with one claiming: “I’m a goddess because I see 12345678910.”

Viewers reportedly had the most trouble spotting the number five, which several puzzling people said was formed “by the gorilla when it starts waving its right arm.”
One even joked that there were many more than 10 numbers as they spotted the ‘infinity’ symbol.
This isn’t the first illusion to leave mystery lovers scratching their heads. In April, the internet had a collective eye frenzy trying to spot the hidden words in this cryptic illustration that could only be guessed by one percent of people.
