Lethbridge residents are celebrating Canada Day without restrictions

Across town, over a thousand Lethbridge residents celebrated Canada Day at Henderson Lake. Families gathered in picnic areas and around the stage to listen to live music and watch other acts.

There was no need to pack for a picnic as there were plenty of different food trucks on site to satisfy any craving. To keep the kids entertained, there were mascots to take pictures with, the city created a variety of inflatable obstacle courses and castles for the kids to run through and have fun.

The Canadian Armed Forces were on site with a troop transport vehicle to ride in and see as well as show people some of the different equipment they use such as radar and missile launchers.

Festivities at Henderson Lake will continue until the end of the day, and then at 11 p.m., the Canada Day fireworks will conclude the event.
