MOSCOW, July 2 /BTA/ Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko said on Saturday that Ukraine tried to strike military facilities on Belarusian territory three days ago, but all of its missiles were intercepted, the state agency Belta reported.
Lukashenko, who did not provide evidence for the claim, said Belarus did not want war with Ukraine but would fight if its own territory was attacked.
The Ukrainian military did not immediately comment.

“They are provoking us. I must tell you that three days ago, maybe a little more, an attempt was made from the territory of Ukraine to attack military facilities on Belarusian territory,” Lukashenko said, quoted by Belta.
“But, thank God, Pantsir anti-aircraft systems were able to intercept all the missiles fired by the Ukrainian armed forces.
Lukashenko said there were no troops from Belarus taking part in what Moscow called a “special military operation” in Ukraine.
Belarus is a close ally of Russia and allowed Moscow to use Belarusian territory to send troops into Ukraine on February 24.
