Almost 1,300 people near Newfoundland’s south coast are currently without power.
Newfoundland and Labrador Hydro says an outage is affecting areas around the Head of Bay D’Espoir, Milltown, Morrisville, St Alban’s, St Joseph’s and St. Veronica’s.
It is believed to have been caused by equipment tripping at an area terminal station.
Hydro says a crew is on its way to the site, but there is no estimated recovery time yet.
