As people struggle to make ends meet amid rising inflation, Manitobans are starting to feel some relief when it comes to gas prices.
According to the CAA, the average gas price in Manitoba on Sunday is just under $2.02 for the year. While that’s still high, it’s down from Saturday’s average of about $2.05 a liter and last Sunday’s average of $2.07.
Gas is slightly cheaper in Winnipeg, averaging about $2 a liter, while in Brandon it’s about $1.99.
CAA numbers show gas prices in Canada are highest in Newfoundland and Labrador, where the average is more than $2.15 a liter on Sunday, while the cheapest gas can be found in Alberta.
