Snake Island Suffers ‘Significant Damage’ After Russian Missile Strike

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy, in a late-night video address on Wednesday, said that of all the battles in his country, “the most brutal confrontation” is raging in the Donbass.

North of Donetsk, Russian forces hit Kharkiv with rocket strikes on Wednesday. Kharkiv regional governor Oleg Sinegubov said one person was killed and three, including a small child, were injured. First responders scrambled through the rubble of a university in Kharkiv, where Mr Zelensky said the main building, lecture halls, museum and library had been destroyed.

“When it comes to the definition of barbarism, this strike most fits the bill,” the Ukrainian president said.

“Only an enemy of civilization and humanity can do such things – hit a university, a university for teachers, with rockets.
