A man is “unaccounted for” after a golf cart was reportedly driven into a large lake at a Richmond Hill golf course.
The incident happened shortly before noon Monday at DiamondBack Golf Club at 13300 Leslie Street, south of Bloomington Road.
According to York Regional Police, a witness contacted them to report seeing a golf cart crash into a lake at a local golf course.
Police said it was not known if the person driving the vehicle was a worker or a patron.
The force’s underwater rescue team is already on its way to the site.
Richmond Hill Fire is handling this investigation.
Deputy Fire Chief Tom Rayburn confirmed that a golf cart was in the water, adding that fire crews were already on the scene and awaiting “more information on the situation.”
