Former “Glee” star Sammi Ware isn’t happy with Lea Michele’s casting as the new lead in Broadway’s “Funny Girl.”
“Yes, I am online today. Yes, I see you all. Yes, I do care,” the 30-year-old actress tweeted on Monday. “Yes, I am affected. Yes, I’m human. Yes, I’m black. Yes, I was abused. Yes, my dreams were tainted.
Ware, who previously called Michele out for mistreatment on the Ryan Murphy series, concluded, “Yes, Broadway supports whiteness. Yes, Hollywood does the same. Yes, silence is complicity. Yes, I’m loud. Yes, I would do it again.”
A rep for Michele, 35, did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
She was tapped to take over the role of Fanny Brice after Benny Feldstein announced her untimely departure from the production on Sunday.
“Playing Fanny Brice on Broadway has been a lifelong dream of mine and doing so over the past few months has been a great joy and a true honor,” Feldstein, 29, wrote on social media about her Broadway run, which began in April.

“After production decided to take the show in a different direction, I made the extremely difficult decision to step down earlier than expected.”
Feldstein was previously set to leave “Funny Girl” in September. Her last show will be on July 31st. Performer Julie Benko will play Fanny in August, before Michele takes over the role on September 6.
“It’s an incredible honor to join this incredible cast and production and return to the stage as Fanny Brice on Broadway,” the Spring Awakening alum tweeted Monday. “See you on September 6th. @funnygirlbwy #FUNNYGIRL.”
Michele’s casting comes more than two years after she was exposed for allegedly mistreating cast members on the set of “Glee” — namely Ware.

Ware stated in June 2020 that Michele made her tenure on the Fox show a “living hell” after the latter voiced her support for the Black Lives Matter movement.
“She waited for the scene to end and stopped in the middle of the scene and made a ‘come here’ gesture like a mother does to her child,” she claimed to Variety, also claiming Michele threatened her job when she refused to come.
Ware memorably claimed that Michele said she would “sit in my wig,” among other “traumatic microaggressions.”
Michele later apologized to Ware and other colleagues who claimed they were victims of her alleged abuse.
“The important thing is that I clearly acted in ways that hurt other people,” Michele wrote via a statement on Instagram, insisting that her Black Lives Matter message was meant to “show support for our friends and neighbors and communities of color during this a really tough time.”
