When is Amazon Prime Day 2022?
The first day is on July 12 and 13 in more than 20 countries. Historically, Prime Day has been held in the middle of the month, after the July 4th holiday and in time for back-to-school shopping for states that return to classrooms in late July and early August.
What is Amazon Prime Day?
Prime Day, which began eight years ago, is Amazon’s biggest shopping event for Prime members. The stellar sale features discounts on thousands and thousands of products: appliances, kitchen essentials, vacuums, clothing, beauty must-haves and more. And the deals aren’t just on Amazon — in 2022, almost every other retailer will launch competitive sales, making it a strategic day to shop for the best deals outside of Black Friday/Cyber Monday.
Some of the biggest deals will be on Amazon devices like the Fire TV Stick 4K and Echo Dot. In addition, Yahoo readers’ top purchases last Prime Day included Apple AirPods Pro, Crest Whitestrips, and the Sony WH-CH710N noise-canceling headphones. This year, you’re very likely to be able to score mega deals on these items as well — and more.
Does Prime Day have sales on everything?
Not everything is on sale for Prime Day, but a lot is. This is usually the day you’ll find huge discounts on top-rated brands and products you know and love.
Is Prime Day only for Prime members?
Hmm. But if you’re not a Prime member, there’s still time to sign up and take advantage of the savings. Basic plans are $14.99 per month (or $139 per year) and you get a free 30-day trial when you sign up.
Key member benefits include free two-day shipping and delivery, as well as same-day or even two-hour delivery on eligible items and locations. It also comes with access to Prime Video, Amazon Music (2 million songs, ad-free!), free two-day prescription shipping from Amazon Pharmacy, free video games through Prime Gaming (formerly Twitch Prime), unlimited full-resolution storage with Amazon Photos and more.
Plus, you’ll get exclusive access to deals. See all Amazon Prime 2022 benefits here.
Can I get the free trial membership deals? If so, how long is the Amazon Prime free trial?
Yes, you can enjoy Prime Day benefits—and all the other benefits of being an Amazon Prime member—with a free trial membership. The trial membership is for 30 days.
How do I find the best deals?
There are a few things you can do to get big out of your favorite subjects. The first is to familiarize yourself with the popular pages on the site that usually host the best sales:
-
Deals of the Day: These sales last for 24 hours.
-
Flash Deals: These deals only last a few hours while supplies last. Prime members get access to these sales 30 minutes before they go live.
-
Savings and Sales: Ongoing deals during the event on select brands and products.
-
Amazon Coupons: You’ll find instant savings in this section.
We also recommend creating a “wish list” on Amazon. That way, you’ve identified your must-have items before Prime Day, and once the sales start, you can add them to your cart stress-free.
If you haven’t already, downloading the Amazon app is a must as it allows you to watch the deals you’re interested in and get notified when they start.
