The West Gray Police Service (WGPS) and the Gray Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are investigating a homicide that occurred in the West Gray Township on Friday.
At approximately 3 a.m., WGPS responded to a report of shots fired at a residence at 4 Gray Road, while later Friday evening, OPP located a deceased 62-year-old individual in the Walters Falls area. The two incidents are believed to be related and there will be an increased police presence in both areas during the investigation.
Police suspect Cody Hersham, 34, of West Gray, and consider him armed and dangerous.
Hearsum is described as a white male, 5’10” tall, 200 lbs, with a medium build. He has brown hair, blue eyes and tattoos on his neck, shoulders and chest. He is also believed to be wearing knee length denim shorts and a light jacket.
The suspect is considered a risk to public safety and should not be approached if seen.
