Meghan Markle praised for teaching Prince Harry’s “upper class” friends a lesson

Meghan Markle has been applauded for speaking out for women and transgender people around the world.

Daily Mirror associate editor Kevin Maguire spoke about the incident where Harry and Meghan caught up with his childhood friends in Sandringham.

During the trip, the Duke’s friends made sexist jokes, which were immediately told by my Meghan Markle.

“Good for her,” says Mr Maguire.

“I don’t see why that would be a negative.”

He said: “You can imagine what these groups of upper class fools are”.

Maguire added: “It’s better for Harry that he’s actually changed as a person and is more aware of other people.

“Instead of being bad in some way.”

In an extract from his book shared in The Times, royal author Tom Bower shared how the Duchess of Sussex embarrassed her husband-to-be in front of 16 of his school friends.

He writes: “They were all employed by international banks and auction houses or were property owners and racehorse trainers.

“All were bound together by common assumptions, principles and loyalties.

“As with other filming weekends, Harry was expecting endless banter, pranks – and lots of drinking.

“He hadn’t anticipated Megan’s reaction. Their jokes involving sexism, feminism and transgender people ricocheted around living rooms and dining rooms.
