A 54-year-old man is facing misdemeanor charges after fleeing from police on Monday.
Shortly before 8 p.m., police found an ATV in Chapel’s Cove, where the driver was believed to be drunk.
Officers attempted to pull the SUV over, but the vehicle sped away.
An officer set up at the operator’s residence and waited for him to come home. A short time later, he was dropped off by another driver, where the police arrested him.
He faces charges of fleeing police and driving while impaired after being two-and-a-half times the legal limit.
He was released to appear in court at a later date.
