WASHINGTON—Steve Bannon’s lawyers did not call their client or other witnesses in his defense Thursday, setting the stage for closing arguments and jury deliberations Friday in the former Trump adviser’s trial on charges of contempt of Congress.
“Aren’t you going to present any evidence to the jury?” US District Judge Carl Nichols asked Mr Bannon’s legal team on Thursday morning.
