Prince Harry is securing a bid to challenge the UK government’s security measures

Prince Harry has won the right to challenge the British government over its security measures in the UK. The Duke of Sussex is fighting a ruling that bars him from paying for police protection for himself and his family when he visits his homeland from California. His appeal was based on the argument that the government commission that made the decision was not impartial because the Queen’s chief aide, Sir Edward Young, was involved. Harry’s lawyer, Shahid Fatima, said it was “inappropriate” for any member of the royal family to have a hand in the decision, especially as the Duke was assured the commission was “independent”. The court case also revealed what Harry described as “significant tension” between him and Sir Edward.
