Fire crews remain at the scene of a massive blaze which broke out in east Suffolk last night.

A total of 33 appliances have been sent to the scene from across Suffolk since the fire started.

In an update from Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service on Twitter, it was confirmed that the homes had been “temporarily evacuated” due to concerns about the fire spreading to the houses.
However, the fire service brought the blaze under control before it could damage property and was “under control”.

Teams from the police, ambulance service, local authority and UK Power Network also attended.
As of 9:20 a.m. on Monday, five devices remain at the site.
That fire came during an “incredibly busy day” for the service, with a “high number of incidents”, the fire service said.
Earlier on Sunday afternoon, Suffolk Fire and Rescue Service sent 18 fire crews to Mellis Road, Burgate.
The incidents come after the fire service declared a major incident last Tuesday after being called to dozens of fires in record high temperatures.
The fire risk remains “extremely high” in the current weather conditions and people have been urged to refrain from using barbecues, open fires, discarded cigarettes and to be aware that a small spark can start a significant fire.
