28 Reactions to Black Panther: Wakanda Forever

To say that everyone is excited and ready for the next chapter of Wakanda and the warriors of one of the most famous superhero storylines of the MCU franchise is a huge understatement.

Just a few minutes, featuring stunning cinematography, a strong soundtrack and an all-star cast, elevates the culture 10 points – here’s what they had to say about it.

1.

I really hope the energy of Black Panther 1 can be replicated because it was the BEST movie experience I’ve ever had, I just felt like black people HAD so much FUN. It was as if we were united in our element.

No one has ever come forward to tell me that Marvel lost their sauce after that trailer. No one ever tells me that Ryan Coogler isn’t a genius. No one has ever come forward to tell me that Black Panther as a movie is overdone. I feel like it’s 2018 again. I’m in absolute awe

The fact that this movie is clearly called WAKANDA FOREVER and not Black Panther 2 🤦🏽‍♀️ Anyway – I think we should actually dress in all white in honor of Chadwick’s return/life celebration/ T’Challa. What do you all think?

the WAKANDA FOREVER trailer is a reminder that the best trailers act as magnificent tone-poems with their own audio-visual qualities, and damn, those two minutes are truly transcendent and healing and emotional narratives by any standard

Acknowledgment of the visual artistry of a two-minute clip from the film speaks of well-deserved respect from the cinematography and art department.

I have to hand it to the Wakanda Forever Art Dept. a team of true soldiers who did not give up through many obstacles, great requests, long days and almost two years. We all left our hearts on stage. For culture, for Chadwick! #WakandaForever

Ryan Coogler has only worked with female cinematographers for all of his feature films, which is a very fun fact. Rachel Morrison was the DP for FRUITVALE STATION and the first BLACK PANTHER, while Maryse Alberti was the DP for CREED.

The tribute to Black Panther T’Challa makes the film one of the most beautiful tributes not only to the titular character, but also to the spirit of the late Chadwick Boseman.

Lupita Nyong’o says of Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, “our call sheets didn’t have a No. 1. That was reserved for Chadwick. He was with us.” (Source: @MTVNews)

I’m glad Black Panther is giving actors a chance to grieve on screen. Of course they will remake eventually, but everyone who worked with Chadwick’s cast and crew deserves the opportunity to honor Chadwick in the next BP film that was close to filming when he passed away.

Words cannot express how much this means to MANY people here, including me. We are constantly being overshadowed in these types of movies. It’s always stereotypically shown. That’s huge. HUGE. 🇲🇽 #WakandaForever

This Wakanda Forever trailer made my eyes misty. Not only the sadness of the loss, but also the moment when I can finally see a representative of my people. ❤️ I loved how they portrayed America Chavez, but turning Atlantis into an Aztec empire just gave me goosebumps. I’m ready.

Local Guatemalan actress María Mercedes Coroy, who you may know from her great performances in LA LLORONA and IXCANUL, is also part of the WAKANDA FOREVER cast, playing Namor’s young mother 🇬🇹

Atlantis, inspired by Aztec culture, and Namor, played by Mexican actor Tenoch Huerta in Black Panther Wakanda Forever, is about to be the hardest thing Marvel has ever ruled

The Power Black Panther holds, makes everyone emotional and in awe, plus all the Mexicans and Central Americans are giddy with the representation of the Mesoamerican indigenous culture🔥 I literally cried when I saw Namor, his costume and the art, it’s beautiful 🥺 #WakandaForever

The music of black Panther has a life of its own, so it’s pointless anyone has high hopes for the new soundtrack.

I don’t know if I’ll be doing art for the sequel, but I can’t stress…
