Comedian Chris Rock didn’t directly address Will Smith’s recent apology video to him when he was on stage in Atlanta on Friday, but he did continue to joke about the infamous Oscars incident when he was punched by the actor while presenting the awards show.
“If everyone claims to be a victim, then no one will hear the real victims,” Rock said. “Even if Suge Smith hit me … I went to work the next day, I have kids,” he joked, according to CNN.
Rock repeatedly copied the incident for his stage show and later remarked in Atlanta, “Anyone who says words hurt has never been punched in the face.”
Rock has not publicly commented on the slap, including after Smith’s recent video apology that directly addressed the comic.

“I contacted Chris and the message that came back is that he’s not ready to talk and when he is he will be in touch so I’ll tell you Chris, I’m sorry. My behavior was unacceptable and I’m here when you’re ready to talk,” Smith said in a lengthy video uploaded to his YouTube channel and Instagram page.
Smith slapped Rock on stage after making a joke about his wife Jada Pinkett-Smith and her looks.
After the slap, Smith resigned from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. He was also banned for 10 years.
