Two window cleaners had to be rescued Monday afternoon after being stuck in the air for hours outside a high-rise building in Ottawa.
Around 1 p.m., Ottawa Fire Services received a call that two workers had lost power on the swing stage and were trapped 10 stories up in an apartment on Grant Carman Drive in Nepean.
Crews arrived within minutes and confirmed workers had been there between four and five hours, the fire department said in a news release Monday.

They used an aerial ladder and ropes anchored to the roof to rescue them. Within 45 minutes, both workers were safely on the ground, OFS said.
None of the workers were injured, the fire department said.
