Police have arrested a 24-year-old man wanted in connection with a rash of break-and-enters in central Newfoundland.
Carlos Letemplier was arrested after actively evading the police.
The breaking and entering took place between July 17 and 26 at multiple businesses in the area.
A trio of 24-year-old men from Grand Falls-Windsor have been charged with the crimes. A large number of stolen items were seized, including four stolen vehicles, power tools, large amounts of lottery tickets, tobacco, alcohol and even Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.
William Murphy was arrested July 17 in Buchans after RCMP said he fled from them in a dangerous manner in a stolen vehicle. Another suspect, Joshua Day, was arrested on July 28 on similar charges.
In total, Murphy faces 22 charges, including breaking and entering, possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000, theft of a motor vehicle, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, refusal to provide a breath sample and damage to property. The other two have similar charges.
