Mississauga child in potentially life-threatening condition after falling from balcony

A child is in hospital with potentially life-threatening injuries after falling from a balcony in Mississauga.

Police and paramedics are on the scene at Erin Mills Parkway and Fowler Dr, a hybrid area of ​​local businesses and high-rise residential buildings as of this writing around 7:00 p.m.

Peel police reported the child’s fall about an hour earlier after receiving the 911 call at 5:15.

The child fell from the balcony of one of the blocks, but the police did not specify where he fell.

They also haven’t released details about the child themselves, nor is their age or gender known yet. It is understood the child was rushed to hospital for treatment of potentially life-threatening injuries.

Police will be at the scene at around 19:15 with more details. Insauga will share more information as it becomes available.

UPDATE 1: Police have confirmed the child is a two-year-old boy. More information on his condition is still awaited.
