Evidence sought in Calgary woman’s murder

Police officers, with the help of the public, will conduct a search of the Siksika First Nation for evidence believed to be related to the murder of Tammie Doreen Howard.

Howard, who is also known as “The Irish Girl”, was last seen in December 2016 and was reported missing by her family in April 2017.

Last month, investigators revealed details in the case that led them to believe she was murdered. Her remains have not been found.

At the time, police said they were looking for a light-colored Jeep Wrangler believed to be connected to the crash.

Investigators have not said what they are looking for now, but they thank the Siksika Nation for their assistance.

The search will be conducted by CPS along with members of the Gleichen RCMP and the Calgary Search and Rescue Association.
