On August 5, 2022, League of Legends released a small gameplay trailer showing off Udyr’s brand new makeover.
While the trailer didn’t provide any information on the changes the champion will receive, it did give a glimpse of what he will look like once the rework is released.
Popular YouTuber Trick2G also took to his channel to reveal some of the changes that Udyr will be getting.
The Udyr Rework will be available on the League of Legends PBE (Public Beta Environment) very soon. However, it will be followed by a lot of balancing updates that may prevent it from hitting the live servers, depending on how powerful it feels in the game.
Udyr’s League of Legends rework is expected to go live on August 24, 2022
The Udyr rework should be available on the League of Legends PBE on August 10, 2022 for patch cycle 12.16. Unless there are major changes, fans can expect the rework to go live alongside patch 12.16 on August 24, 2022.
This is currently the expected timeline, given that the developers released the trailer for the Udyr remake worldwide.
According to developer Reav3, the next champion’s roadmap is also expected to arrive next week. However, it was only to be released after the Udyr remake was available. So it’s safe to say that this rework will be out on the PBE itself next week.
Udyr seems to have changed a lot. All of his skills have been changed and each has received an improved animation update.

It seems that Udir is now significantly more powerful than he was before. However, League of Legends developers have clearly made sure that it doesn’t feel new, but rather fresh.
In other words, new players will see a brand new champion, while older players will get a champion that provides a new experience with familiar gameplay.
