The Regina Police Service issued an Amber Alert Sunday afternoon seeking the public’s help in locating a two-year-old child and his 36-year-old mother, who are being investigated for the child’s abduction.
The child, Holdan Keewatin, is described as three feet tall and weighing somewhere between 30 and 35 lbs with short black hair. The two-year-old was last seen wearing a black and white horizontal striped outfit.
Shortly before 4:30 a.m. Sunday, police responded to an address in the 1100 block of 13th Avenue for a report that a woman was believed to be trying to take her non-custodial biological son, according to news reports sent Sunday in the morning.
When police arrived, they said the mother, Kerry Keewatin, was missing, as was her son, Holdan. Police said the investigation shows Carey showed up at Regina General Hospital shortly after with the child, but she left on foot.
