The Bay d’Espoir highway will remain open for the time being.
The government says that while the next decision will be made tomorrow morning, the fires are unpredictable and residents are encouraged to stay abreast of current conditions.
Forest resource roads along the highway remain closed and cabin owners should not enter the area.
If there are cabin owners in the area, they are asked to leave immediately as they are putting their lives and the lives of first responders at risk.
