A mudslide closed Highway 1 in British Columbia’s Fraser Canyon Wednesday evening.
DriveBC says a mudslide has closed the Trans-Canada Highway in both directions between Lytton – located about 150 kilometers northeast of Vancouver – and Spence Bridge, from Highway 8 to Highway 12.
There is no detour available and grade assessment will be done at first sight, DriveBC said.
Witnesses say it was raining heavily before the mudslide hit the road.
