Alberta is looking for talent from Toronto and Vancouver

The Alberta government is looking to attract skilled workers from Toronto and Vancouver to the province and launched its recruitment drive Monday morning.

“Alberta is back in a big way,” Kenney said during Monday’s announcement, “but one of the biggest challenges to sustaining this incredible growth is having enough people to fill all the jobs that are being created.

“As far as problems go, it’s pretty good. Alberta had the highest employment growth in Canada in 2022 with 68,000 more people working.”

This is a developing story. Will update throughout the afternoon.

Alberta Premier Jason Kenney launched the “Alberta is Calling” campaign to attract workers from Toronto and Vancouver.

Ads in these cities will start immediately. Kenney says the cost of living here is lower, housing is more affordable and companies need workers. #ableg #onpoli #bcpoli pic.twitter.com/QJyBgCWmOK
