Bobbers Restaurant in Bruce Mines was burglarized sometime between 10:30 p.m. on Aug. 18 and 6 a.m. on Aug. 19, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Algoma Division says.
About $2,900 in cash and receipts were reported stolen.

BRUCE MINES – On August 19, 2022, shortly after 7:30 a.m., members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) East Algoma Detachment and Forensic Identification Services Unit responded to a report of a breaking and entering at Bobbers Restaurant on Highway 17 in the town of Bruce Mines.
The ongoing investigation has determined that sometime between 10:30 p.m. Thursday, August 18 and 6 a.m. Friday, August 19, 2022, the perpetrator(s) used a tool to force open the exterior steel kitchen door , located on the west side of the building. The offender(s) stole $2,900 in cash and receipts from sales on August 17th and 18th. Of the stolen money, $900 was in $5 and $10 bills.
Anyone with information regarding this theft of cash and sales receipts is asked to contact the Ontario Provincial Police at 1-888-310-1122 or the nearest police agency.
