Two men have been charged with attempted murder on a Toronto waterfront

Toronto police have arrested two men after a man was seriously injured in a stabbing near the waterfront last week.

Police said they were called at around 3.10am on August 19 to a car park near Queens Quay West and Bathurst Street where two men are believed to have stabbed a person.

The injured were taken to hospital, where their lives are in danger.

As a result of the investigation, police arrested two people on Friday in connection with the case.

They have been identified as Kane Underhill, 28, and Mwanza Mutombo, 35.

Both are charged with attempted murder, aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and robbery with an offensive weapon.

Police have not released a motive for the stabbing.
